Hyper Score Technology

Action sports competitions — skateboarding, BMX, roller freestyle — require real-time scoring where multiple judges submit scores simultaneously, results are calculated instantly, and participants and audiences can follow along live. Before Hyper Score, most regional events in Asia relied on paper-based scoring or generic spreadsheet setups that were slow, error-prone, and difficult to scale across multi-round contests.

I designed and developed Hyper Score Technology (HST) as a cloud-based scoring and contest management platform. Built initially with PHP and later evolved with Laravel and Firebase for real-time capabilities, the system handles the full event lifecycle — from participant registration and QR-based attendance to multi-judge scoring, heat management, and live results display.

One of the biggest improvements is the broadcast integration — score data now syncs directly with Jumbotron scoreboards and broadcast overlay systems during live events, giving audiences real-time visibility into scoring as it happens. On the judging side, the system includes a predictive rank preview that shows judges exactly where a participant will land in the standings before the score is submitted. This gives judges greater confidence in their decisions and improves scoring validity, which has become a key value proposition of the platform.

In December 2025, Hyper Score served as the official scoring system for the skateboarding events at the Thailand SEA Games 2025 — a competition sanctioned by World Skate, the international governing body for skateboarding and roller sports. From regional action sports events since 2015 to an internationally recognized competition platform — continuously evolved based on real competition demands.
